 Exploring June
5/5
I loved this whole book. I am so looking forward to doing every month during the actual month of the year.
For this though I focused on June. I love the summer and this part is filled with fun summer foods and crafts.
First is a tea party. Since I have 4 boys I do not have fancy tea settings. Besides this we enjoyed a loevly tea party. Making our own h'orderves based on what was in the book, but using what we had in the house.
We then gathered a couple leaves and sticks, since its fall, and started the pressing process. I think they will like how it looks in a couple weeks.
The one thing I wish we could do was make some crowns with flowers. I know they would love that.
We then read about what family life was like back in Victorian times. It was fun to try to explain to my young children how times are different now and how they roles are not as defined.
This is an amazing book. Each month is broke down so that you can enjoy and learn.
I think that if you have children that you need to do this with them throughout the year.
