Fallen book review

About the Book:

“If it wasn’t an armed robbery, it was a hit. An execution.”

Amid a sultry Atlanta summer, someone is targeting police…

The investigation becomes personal for APD Detective Ryan Winter when a colleague and friend is shot dead, the second victim in just weeks. But even as he finds himself being drawn into the tense hunt for a serial cop killer, he is forced to re-examine his own shattering personal tragedy.

An ER physician at Atlanta’s busy Mercy Hospital, Dr. Lydia Costa is no stranger to suffering. Still, the recent police slayings reopen barely healed wounds—and bring her face-to-face with her ex-husband, Ryan Winter.

As the body count rises and paranoia tightens its grip on the police force, Lydia and Ryan are pulled together by circumstances and fate…causing old passions to reignite despite their painful shared past. But as Ryan moves closer to discovering the killer’s identity, someone is watching, placing both him and Lydia in mortal danger.

Review
4/5
Someone is going around killing police officers. Detective Ryan is feverishly working on trying to find the cop serial killer. During this he keeps running into his ex wife. Lydia is an ER doctor and keeps being forced to deal with the feelings she still has with her ex husband.
They both know that they still care for each other and they begin to work out their issues. Then someone starts coming after then and Ryan has to figure out what to do.
I really enjoyed this book. I usually do not like to read mystery romance books but this one was different. There was the right balance between mystery and romance. There were multiple story lines in the beginning that were a little confusing and frustrating.  Thankfully by the end they all worked out into a great story.

  2. Thanks, Willa! I'm working on a novel right now that's tentatively titled Clarity Bay. It has romantic suspense, of course, but there's also a small town contemporary romance feel. My first foray outside of law enforcement!
