Juliette was raised to never talk to those under her station. Whenever she did, her parents beat her. By the time she is older, she is an insensitive rich girl. She gets her maid beat because she is jealous and mean. A witch than curses her.She is in a world nothing like her own. She has to figure out how to live. Scrounging around in this strange place with her new allies while she watches her old life through a mirror.

It was a good book. I was not fond of Juliette for a good portion of the book. I thought the story was interesting. I loved the characters that she met after she was cursed. They were different and really made a good story. I felt in some places it could have gone quicker, besides that a nice quick read.

About the Author

Born in Ojai, and raised in the San Fernando Valley, California, Jena always loved to read, and dreamed of writing a novel. Having the ability, but lacking the confidence to do so, she enrolled in the UCLA Writer’s Extension, and soon her first novel was in process.
