The New York Times bestselling author of Slow Burn turns up the heat when a sexy bet turns into so much more....

Hawkin Play, the bad boy rock star with a good guy heart, has lived a lifetime of cleaning up after his twin brother’s mistakes. Hunter’s most recent screwup could land Hawke in jail and risk the band’s future. Hawke agrees to guest lecture at a local college to stay in the judge’s good graces—and a bet with his bandmate to seduce his sexy teaching assistant is icing on the cake.

Quinlan Westin is harder to bed than Hawke imagined. She knows his type and is determined to avoid the rocker at all costs—even if their attraction runs deeper than simple lust.

Just as Hawke might finally be winning over the girl, his brother has other plans. When Hunter realizes his twin finally has a weakness, he’ll stop at nothing to take advantage....

EXCERPT

Hawkin

Well, shit. Guess there’s not going to be any calm before the next storm. I look at my brother and sigh.

I hit the road, drive for what feels like hours. I don’t know where I’m going or what I’m looking to find, but as long as I keep moving, my past can’t catch up to me.

At least it’s a good idea in theory because I can’t outrun this shit. The stuff I want to and the stuff I don’t want to.

I end up the one place I used to go to be alone, to think, and as I stare at the Hollywood sign from my seat on the grass at the Griffith Park Observatory, I love the feeling that I’m this little person in this big world. The idea comforts me some. The notion that on the grand scale of things my problems are minute. Someone out there has it way worse.

And no one expects a rock star to be here so with my hat pulled low on my head, I’m able to disappear.

I stare down below to the city where as a little boy, scared and traumatized, I wondered how all of the dreams inside my head could ever see the light of day when I felt like I had the responsibility of the world on my small shoulders. But I did. And I made it.

So why do I feel like I’m still not enough? For my brother? To make my mother better? For Quinlan to even want me beyond the killer sex we have? For the fans who scream and sing my lyrics like they live them when they have no fucking clue the meaning behind the words?

I scrub my hands over my face, needing a drink, craving an ice cream cone, and wanting the feeling of Quinlan’s arms wrapped around me as she silently sits there and just is with me.

My mind veers to Hunter. I push the guilt away, hold on to my gut check rationalization that he deserved it, and realize that’s the trouble I’m having here. Going with my gut versus going with the bullshit promises I’ve lived by forever.

My stomach churns and my head feels like Gizmo’s banging the hell out of it with his sticks. I shove up off the grass, needing to get the fuck out of here, my heart and head in conflict and for the first time in forever I dare to think what could happen if my heart finally won for once.

Observer Book 1 tour. Plus my Review!

Glen writes both fiction and nonfiction from his forty-year career and experience as a trial lawyer and consultant in international business and banking.

His nonfiction work as the observer in The Prison Trilogy tells the tales in chronological order of how he came to be a lawyer for a Wall Street Journal heiress and her gay husband and how that representation landed him in federal prison. That is the first in The Trilogy. The second book tells the story of his cell mate, Colonel George Trofimoff, serving life for spying for the KGB, and the final book of The Trilogy describes the prisoners, Glen's experiences and takes a hard look at the American criminal justice system.

Book description:

When Jackie Bancroft's husband died in 1952, he left her an heiress to the income and value of The Wall Street Journal and one of the wealthier women in America. Almost 50 years later, Jackie would marry Ronnie Lee Morgan, a 50 – year old gay interior decorator. Morgan was one of many clients in the active law practice of author Glen Aaron. This unusual marriage lasted until Jackie's mysterious death five years later. Throughout that period, Aaron became entwined in the personal lives and demands of the couple, along with handling many of their legal affairs. The huge money and property distributions made by Jackie to her husband, designed and handled by Aaron, resulted in a two – year federal prison sentence for Aaron. The first book in the Prison Trilogy is this story.

Book Review
4/5
This is Glen's story. It talks about how he met Ron and Jackie. He explains how he slowly got more and more involved with Ron's life and all the other rich people that he worked for. It was a really great first book. I like how it started with how Ron and Jackie came together. Then after her death he starts to talk about how he and ron met and got involved with each other business wise.
I like how it progressed. You found out a lot of information without feeling like the story was dragging. I am looking forward to reading more about his story!

Excerpt One:

Ron Morgan always knew what he wanted – – to be rich and beautiful, to live in the places you see in Architectural Digest.
He knew certain things about the rich: that they were different, that they liked beautiful things, power, and influence, that, if they saw that another had something more beautiful or impressive, they had to have it, too. He also knew that every rich person would take advantage of him if given the chance. So he devised ways to reverse this probability. While making it appear that they were getting a good deal, a special deal, he always made money.
Ron had developed his expertise in interior decorating over the course of many years. It took him even longer to perfect the personality that attracted and pleased wealthy clients. His involvement as an interior decorator for the wealthy, his intuitive knowledge of how to deal with them, was an evolution of fits and starts.
Although it didn't hurt that Ron was gay, in his early life he had had difficulty figuring that out. He tried a heterosexual marriage. It didn't work.
Then, in his 50th year, in the New Mexico mountain village of Ruidoso, Ron met Jackie Bancroft Spencer ("Jackie"), a wealthy Wall Street Journal heiress possessed of a unique personality. Jackie was building a stunning theater for the performing arts in Ruidoso, for which she would pay $23 million cash. At the same time, she was caring for her terminally – ill second husband, Dr. A.N ("A. N.") Spencer. Ron Morgan came to know Jackie by creating interior decor for her home, making suggestions regarding the theater, and in assisting with A. N.'s care during his final illness.
I was Ron Morgan's lawyer for many years. On numerous occasions, I defended lawsuits and negotiated a way out of touchy problems. Ultimately, I placed Ron in bankruptcy protection in El Paso, Texas. Not long after, he introduced me to Jackie. Through numerous golf games and dinners, I became fascinated with this lady, her history and that of the Bancroft's and their ownership of The Wall Street Journal.
Two years later, Ron, a 52 – year old gay man, and Jackie, a 72 – year old heterosexual heiress, decided to marry. At the time she met Ron, Jackie, was married to Dr. A.N. Spencer; it was her second marriage. She wanted to travel the world after AN's death, and she wanted Ron to travel with her. For his part, Ron had his own designs on what this should cost Jackie. Whether pressing for marriage was a manifestation of Ron's ulterior financial desires, or whether it was at Jackie's urging is unknown. What is known is that Jackie accepted, indeed, relished, the arrangement.
While the relationship was filled with intrigue, greed and Machiavellian manipulation from within and without, the ultimate mystery for me was the nature of Jackie's illness – – the illness that led to her death – – while she and Ron were on a world cruise. It was my task to get her off the ship in the middle of the Atlantic and arrange for medical care in Albuquerque, New Mexico. That would be my last service on her behalf.
I have always been an observer of people: what motivates them to do what they do, how they view their quality of life, why and how this plays out in relationships. This book has a dual purpose: to share my observations of Jackie and Ron's unusual relationship, and to share my experiences as Jackie's some time – confidante and as Ron's lawyer until Jackie's death. Ultimately, these experiences with my last client would change my life.

Harper's Cove Novella series Tour!

Title: Cheryl and Samuel at 323 Harper’s Cove
Series: Harper’s Cove Novella Series, #5
Author: Deanndra Hall
Genre: Erotic Romance, BDSM
Host: DRC Promotions

Synopsis

Cheryl and Samuel Danvers are the best neighbors in the neighborhood, at least according to the neighborhood’s drunken snoop, Gloria. After all, they’re the ministers at her church, which makes them above reproach.
Right?
But Cheryl and Samuel have a secret – well, three secrets, actually. They each have one, and they have one together. They share that secret with the Gholsons and no one else until one night when someone stumbles onto it, and he’s probably one of the last people in the world they’d want to have know about it. But you know what happens when one person with a secret stumbles onto another? Everybody keeps their mouths shut!
The Danvers desperately don’t want to keep their secrets anymore, but even if the political and social climate changed and let them tell their individual secrets, the big one – the one they share – will always be taboo. Sure, they could help to affect change, but what would that do to their vocations?
It’s a lot to think about, considering they can keep it all under wraps. Unless, of course, Gloria figures it out.

Find out exactly what the neighbors of Harper's Cove are up to when they go inside and close their doors. According to Gloria, the drunken busy-body of the cove, they're all up to something perverse, and she's determined to find out their secrets. As she sneaks, peeks, pokes, and prods, her long-suffering husband, Russell, begs her to leave all of their nice neighbors alone.
But could Gloria be right?
Every weekend, Karen and Brett Reynolds have one helluva party. It's a houseful. They've been having those parties for a long time, and Gloria can barely stand not knowing what's going on in there. Even better, she'd like to be invited to the parties at 326 Harper's Cove, but that's not going to happen. Because when she found out exactly what's going on there, she'd have a fit. Karen and Brett aren't about to give away their secret. They've been doing this a long time and they all know each other quite well - intimately, you might say. And they're not about to share that closeness with anyone outside the group, especially not a nosy neighbor. Because, quite frankly, it's hard enough to keep up with what fourteen people are doing without adding another.
But when Gloria manages to sneak a peek through their privacy fence, she might be surprised by what she sees!
The Harper's Cove series books are fast, fun, nasty little reads priced just right to provide a quick, naughty romp. See if the neighbors of Harper's Cove shock you just enough to find out what the occupants of the next address will do!

Come and visit the neighbors of Harper's Cove. Every couple on the street is pretty sure they're the only ones doing something as kinky as they're doing, but the joke's on them!
Becca and Greg at 314 Harper's Cove continues the series. Even though they seem like your average neighbors, Becca and Greg live a lifestyle their neighbors wouldn't understand, especially the busybody of the neighborhood. Becca lives to serve, and while Greg appreciates her, he rules his domain with an iron fist - or maybe an iron cage. When Becca's asked to share Greg, she does what she has to do, even though Greg insists she'll always be first for him. And it might work out better than Becca thinks initially - that is, if the nosy neighbor will stay out of their business.
Can Gloria leave them alone?
But the arrival of another woman to their home makes Gloria sure that there's something going on that's just not right. Even Becca's explanation doesn't dissuade her from poking around to find out the "truth." And poke she does, until she gets the surprise of her life! Poor Russell, her husband, is left to listen to her nonsense while trying to keep her drinking under control, but it doesn't work. Gloria is determined to get down to the truth of what's going on in the Hendersons' house.
Will Gloria's snooping lead her to a view of life in the Hendersons' house that she's not expecting?
Written from first-person perspective of two of the characters, the Harper's Cove series novellas are quick, fun, steamy reads. They'll tickle your funny bone AND put a sizzle in your shorts! At 20K-25K words, they're perfect for a lazy afternoon's entertainment or a quick bedtime jolt to the libido. The books are not dependent on each other and can be read in any order. At their completion, the series will be at least six books (maybe even more!) and each will be just as hot and hilarious.
Visit Harper's Cove and get into the lives of the kinkiest neighborhood in town. They're up to things that your neighbors would never do.
Or would they?

Gloria wants to know - what are they up to?
Those nice people at 228, the Millicans? They’re religious counselors, trying to help lovely couples who are having marital problems. Problem is, they’re not counseling; training, maybe, but not counseling. But no matter what Donna says, Gloria still thinks the truck that delivered large crates to the Millicans’ house in the wee hours of the morning, two weeks after they’d moved in, was pretty suspicious. Donna says it was exercise equipment that the moving company had lost, but Gloria’s not so sure. Could it be that they’re not as they appear?

Welcome to Harper’s Cove! It’s a welcoming little place, after all, a street lined with beautiful homes, well-manicured lawns, and upscale vehicles in cobblestone driveways. It looks idyllic.
But there’s a fox in the hen house.
Savannah and Martin McIntosh have a lot of friends – couple friends. And when Savannah drags out the fishbowl for the keys, everyone gets excited. They certainly should. Once the ladies have chosen a set of keys, they get to spend the night with the owner of the keys. It’s a swinger’s paradise.
Until the nosy neighborhood drunk, Gloria, notices a man leaving Savannah and Martin’s house on Saturday morning, then sees Martin coming in later. And, of course, as the self-appointed neighborhood watchdog, Gloria feels it’s her sworn duty to find out what’s going on. She’s absolutely, positively sure that everyone in the neighborhood is doing something wicked and dirty, and she’s out to find out what, even though her poor, long-suffering husband, Russell, says he’ll send her back to rehab if she doesn’t leave the neighbors alone.
Leave them alone? Not a chance. She wants to know what they’re up to, but they won’t make it easy on her.
Or maybe they will. Too easy.
The Harper’s Cove novellas are fast, fun reading with more kink than a cheap garden hose. Catch up with the neighbors, find out what kind of fun they’re having, and watch as they try to foil Gloria and keep their privacy intact. It’s a crazy ride!

About The Author

For as long as I can remember, I've been a writer . . .
and it has served me well. I wrote for local publications, wrote marketing and advertising materials, wrote for academic publications, and eventually grew jaded with the writing profession as I often watched others take credit for my hard work. I retreated into the world of 3-D art in the fiber and textile mediums and hid out in a world of colors and textures. But, truth is, there was always a story or two in my head. It wasn't until Nikki and I met in my imagination that I decided it was time to let those stories out, and I'm glad I did. My readers now get to enjoy the fruits of my imagination and, believe me, it runs wild!
On the personal side, I've been happily married to my lover and best friend for over thirty years, and I have two wonderful adult kids who've blessed me with two excellent choices of life partners. When I'm not writing, I'm playing with my three crazy little dogs, hiking in a local recreation area, kayaking, working out at the gym, tending my herbs, cooking, or doing some kind of research.
But I'd really rather be writing!

Excerpt

“We never danced before,” she said softly. Her breath was sweet, citrusy, and he was tempted to lick that sugar from her lips, but uncertainty held him back.

“We never did a whole lot of anything before except fuck.” Exactly what he wanted to do now. And afterward, maybe they could talk, or do what couples did, although never having really been part of a couple, he didn’t know what that would be. Watch TV? Go for a ride? Fuck some more?

“Maybe that’s ’cause that’s all we’re good for together.”

That gave him pause. Yes, he enjoyed sex with Dawn, but he genuinely liked her. She was smart, sweet, sensitive, and funny. She had more grit and determination than anyone he’d met, working three jobs, putting up with Shelly-Ann, never giving up hope she’d get her girls back. He wanted to spend more time with her, but she was always running away.

“Well, we gotta have something together, because now you’re wearing my cut and there’s no turning back.” He brushed his fingers through her beautiful long, blond hair. They had that in common. But Dawn was soft, where he was hard. Curved where he was straight. Sweet where he was bitter.

“If you’d told me three weeks ago I’d be in a biker bar, dancing with a biker and wearing a cut, I’d never have believed you. This was the last thing I ever thought I wanted. Me. A biker’s old lady again.”

His old lady. He liked the sound of it. He liked watching the words on her lips, tumbling over the silky softness and into his heart. Three weeks ago, sitting in his booth at Peelers with Delilah in his lap, he never would have believed he’d have an old lady. “Say it again.”

She licked her lips, and the sight of her little pink tongue made him hard.

“Old lady.”

“My old lady. Say it.”

Dawn studied him for a minute, considering. “Yours.” She leaned up and kissed him and he lost the last threads of his control.

With No Regrets

With No Regrets Cover

With No Regrets by Julie N. Ford Living With No Regrets Is Harder Than It Seems Finley isn’t exactly sure when her life began to feel unfamiliar. She suspects the transformation started long before she caught her husband and fellow garden club member doing the white-trash-two-step on her new Bernhardt sofa. Now free from the shackles of a loveless marriage, and with her children off to college, she’s finally able to go searching for the missing pieces of her heart. Finley’s best friend, Cathyanne, is already working hard to ensure that Finley finds true love this time around. But when Finley is unwittingly tossed into the arms of two men—their sexy trainer and her neighbor, a popular country star—Cathyanne fears finding the right guy will be more complicated than she ever could have imagined. For Finley, building a new life feels as impossible as flying a paper airplane to the moon. But maybe, just maybe, with the right help, she will find her whole heart—even if it’s in the very last place she thinks to look.

Excerpt

She turned her face to the warmth of the sun shining through the sheets of glass enclosing her porch, bright but apparently not yet strong enough to warm the room. With a glance down at the cell phone resting on the corner of her mat, her eyes betrayed her desire for focus, to leave the world behind and center. The screen was dark. A blank void. She was alone, and no one cared. But then the only person she really wanted to hear from today was Finley. It had been nearly a week since the night they’d gone to Tootsie’s, and Finley had yet to return any of Cathyanne’s texts or calls. While Finley had been angry with Cathyanne many times before, she’d never gone more than a few days without a call, and never a whole week.
Breathing in against her discontent, she blew the frustration out, raised her hips, and pushed back into downward-dog. Her hamstrings tightened momentarily before relaxing into the pose. Her rebellious body coerced into submission, a sigh escaped her lips, her mind relishing in a moment of peace. Lowering her knees to the mat, she settled back onto her heels, hands in prayer position in front of her heart. Her gaze drifted over to her phone again. Nothing. Irritation seeped its way back in. She didn’t have time for all this foolishness. One more day. If Finley didn’t call by tomorrow, Cathyanne was going to hunt her down and force her to talk.
Getting to her feet, she walked over to the window and pressed her palm against the glass. The heat from the other side bled into her cold skin and traveled up her arm. She closed her eyes, memorizing the feeling while savoring the breath moving in and out of her lungs. “Come on, Finnie, let me help you,” she whispered. Beyond the window, birds actively called to one another. A dog barked. A golf cart whizzed to a stop.
She opened her eyes to see two of her neighbors setting up to putt on the 12th hole. Her 3,200 square-foot house backed up to the exclusive Bluegrass golf course. She’d played regularly when her second husband had still lived here.
Now, she only watched.
The couple spied her and gave a halfhearted wave. She waved back with matched enthusiasm. Cathyanne wasn’t well acquainted with many of her neighbors. She’d never been good at polite chitchat. Plus, her ideas and opinions always seemed a bit too strong, lingering around the outside of normal. To put it plainly, people generally found her to be a smidge odd. As if there were a glass wall between her and everyone else, she could see them—watch their lips move—but an understanding, a real connection couldn’t be formed. The only time she didn’t feel out of place was when she was working. She was good at transforming people, at making them into more acceptable versions of themselves, achieving for others what she’d never been able to do for herself.

Praise for With No Regrets “The imagery is beautiful, the romance very well done and realistic.” Rachel Ann Nunes. Finley is a spunky and snarky Southern woman with a lot of sass! The romance is swoon-worthy and satisfying. And underneath it all, it's got a great message. Definitely worth a read!
